SLAMFEST - Sunday, August 24
Yukon's first ever Yukon Downhill Mountain bike race will be held at Mt. Sima on August 24.
On Sunday August 24th Contagious Mountain Bike Club and Mount Sima Ski Hill are holding a premier Mountain Bike event
Slamfest is going to be a single run time trial event on a course that has been plotted to promote gravity fed riding for a variety of ages and skill levels. The course will run from top to bottom of the 1100' vertical ski hill.
The event will also include a barbecue fundraiser for the ski patrol.

Ski Patrol Recruitment Session
Yukon Zone ski patrol will be hosting a recruitment and information system for individuals interested in becoming a ski patroller. The session will be on Tuesday, September 2 (7:00PM) at Sport Yukon. Phone Tim Sellars at (867) 668-6095 for more information.
GNSS AGM - September 9
The Great Northern Ski Society will hole its Annual General Meeting on Tuesday September 9, at 7:00 pm at the Mt Sima Chalet.
In addition to the usual business, the board will present the following motion from the July 9 Special Members Meeting:
That the GNSS member ship re-affirm the appointed/elected board of July 9, 2008 Special Members Meeting.

Mount Sima is run by the non-profit Great Northern Ski Society (GNSS). The society's board is composed of 9 volunteers. The GNSS founded the ski hill and is responsible for the ongoing development and maintenance of the hill.
