SEASONAL POSITIONS

Want to ski or board for free? Mt. Sima will be seeking applicants for the season with a great attitude, who enjoy downhill skiing or boarding and have a willingness to work as a team. We will be accepting applications until November 2010.
Positions are available usually from December through April.  We are lucky enough to have lots of returning staff, but are always looking for new team members. Some positions work primarily outdoors, others are based indoors.  Training is provided, but applicants should be flexible, have a positive attitude, willing to learn, and committed to helping guests have a great mountain experience.  Since we operate as a team, you may be asked to help out in other related areas when they're busy.

Food Service, Cook, Cook helper
Duties include taking orders, preparation of food, individuals must be friendly and have good customer service skills. Training is provided. Full and part time positions available.
Food Service, Cashier
Must be friendly, outgoing and good with cash. This position will be responsible for cash drawer, including receiving cash, administering change, processing visa and debit transactions. Cashiers are also responsible for counting cash and reconciling sales at the end of the day. Part time positions available, training begins in late November.

Ticket Office Cashier
This position requires excellent communication skills with friendly personality required.  Must be outgoing and good with cash. This position will be responsible for cash drawer, including receiving cash, administering change, processing visa and debit transactions.

Custodial Staff
Individuals must have a friendly customer service oriented attitude and be available to work during resort hours and after the facility closes. Duties include vacuuming, mopping floors, cleaning washrooms, busing tables, garbage removal and other general cleaning. Part time positions available, training begins in late November.

Ski & Snowboard instructors
At least a Level I Certification required CASI & CSIA. Must possess excellent communication skills and enjoy working with people. Part time positions available.

Lift Attendants
Individuals applying for this position must be able to work outdoors in cold temperatures while providing friendly and safe customer service. Lift attendants assist guests with loading and unloading lifts and are constantly watching out for safety. Training will be providing in all aspects of lift operations. Full and part time positions available.
Snowmakers
Individuals applying for this position must be able to work outside in cold temperatures and must be physically able to adjust and move equipment in cold temperatures. These positions start in November and run 24/7. Experience preferred but not required.
