Instructor Certification & T.A.
Our Teaching Assistant Course is the perfect way for skiers and snowboarders to prepare to become certified instructors. The course is designed to help participants to improve technically while developing solid communication and interpersonal skills. Eligible applicants will be considered for the paid work of T.A. for the season. T.A. will help coach groups in the morning as well as over the lunch break during camps. Then they will have the choice to continue to help or keep their afternoon for some free runs.
Step 1 – Dec. 16th & 17th, 10 am to 3 pm, two full days of indoor and on snow instruction.
Step 2 – Based on a performance evaluation, you will be scheduled to work closely with an instructor to gain hands-on experience. You must commit to 5 days of apprenticing.
Step 3 – Upon completion of the apprentice training, you will be re-evaluated and may be selected to become a teaching assistant and scheduled to assist with Snow School programs based on a as-needed basis. You will get paid for every hour of teaching!

Note: For winter 2017-2018 returning T.A.’s must participate in a free 1-day training session on December 17th.
