Friends of Mount Sima Society undertook earthworks on the aerials site at Mount Sima during the summer/fall of 2017. The primary purpose behind this project was the significant cost savings and the improved efficiencies in our snowmaking process.
The development of the Big Air jump site allowed Yukon Freestyle to include a Big Air event in this years Freestyle Ski Association Canada Cup hosted at Mount Sima in November 2017. It also raised the bar with respect to the training environment for our pre-season program. The Big Air site was a draw for high caliber athletes - such as Max Parrot, who will be representing Canada in the 2018 Winter Olympics - while also providing our local athletes with new and improved training ground contributing to their overall success.
Funding for this project was made possible with support from Government of Yukon’s Community Development Fund

Christmas Camps will still be running. We will be using the bunny hill, the mini park and doing activities in the lodge for the camps.
We appreciate your understanding and ask that you stay tuned for updates over the next couple days. We will open the lift as soon as temperatures allow.
