Our staff are individuals who thrive in the outdoors, and love the mountains. We are looking for people who share in this passion, maybe for a season, or maybe as part of an exciting career!

We are excited to be offering an Adaptive Snowsport Instructor certification course this year! 

The aim of Canadian Adaptive Snowsports (CADS) is to give people living with disabilities the opportunity to eliminate barriers that have prevented them in experiencing the Joy and Freedom of Snowsports. Not only in a fun and inclusive environment that embraces diversity but in an accessible community that treats each individual with respect.

We will be holding the following Ski Instructor courses at Mt Sima this season:

CSIA Level 1 Course – 11am-4pm, Friday to Sunday, December 15-17, 2023 – Register through snowschool@mountsima.com

We will be holding the following Snowboard Instructor courses at Mt Sima this season:

CASI Level 1 course – 10:30am-4:30pm, Friday to Sunday, Jan 4-7, 2024 (4 full days) – Register Here

CASI Member Course – QuickRide Update (FREE for all CASI members) – TBD

To Register:

  • Go to www.bcas.skiportal.org
  • Create a new user account >select Instructor Membership>complete profile
  • You will need to complete your profile before you can register for the course (including uploading your criminal record check and paying the CADS membership fees)
  • Click on Schedule>Training & Events Calendar>December 2022 Click on CADS Level 1 Mount Sima to register

Are you 12-14 years old and aspire to be an instructor? Join our  Teaching Assistant Program and be on your way to a career in the outdoor industry!

Shadow certified instructors

While helping out the group, you will also get to follow and learn from a certified instructor and learn their go to tips and strategies!

Earn Sima Bucks

If you volunteer for 1 Christmas Camp and 1 Spring Break camp you will earn 50% off a season pass or Sima credit!

Receive a certificate of completion and gain experience

You will receive a certificate showing the hours you completed in the Teaching Assistant Program. You can add this experience to your resume for future job applications!

Improve your own skills

With access to the hill, and new friends who are instructors, this would be the perfect time to improve your own ski/snowboard skills! Perfect to pass your certification course!
