How to prepare and what to expect when you arrive.

Helpful Tips

Below we have broken out key areas of our operations and their individual restrictions and COVID-19 mitigation.

  • No proof of vaccination required to access the chairlift
  • Guests can request to ride the chair separate from other groups, otherwise chair occupancy will be filled during peak periods.
  • Face coverings are encouraged, but will not be mandatory outdoors, including in lift lines or on chairs.
  • Social distancing is required in lift lines.
  • Hand sanitizing stations available at top of both quad chair and handle tow
  • Physical distancing signage in corals
  • Drying wrack to be modified to insure limited to no contact between articles of clothing
  • Regular sanitization of surfaces in top hut by patrol
  • Top Hut limit of 12 people and max stay 15 minutes. Priority to small children and emergencies
  • No PoV required for Top Hut as this is an emergency shelter
All staff members are provided with pocket sized hand sanitizer and face masks. Training is and will continue to be given to ensure proper mask use and sanitization protocols for staff spaces, vehicles and tool use are followed.

  • Purchasing of more PPE to have adequate supply for all operations
  • Proof of Vaccination required for entry into ski chalet for 19 and over
  • 18 and under do not need PoV for entry into ski chalet
  • Mask required inside ski chalet
  • Lodge capacity limited to 25 people
  • Additional exterior seating inside large heated tent provided, no proof of vaccination required for exterior seating
  • Continued public awareness signage about safe 6 displayed throughout facility
  • Physical distancing signage in pinch point where lockers are located
  • Hand sanitizer dispensers in lockers area
  • Drying racks to be modified to insure limited to no contact between individual articles of clothing
  • Lodge Hosts trained for public awareness, assist with frequent cleaning of high contact surfaces and capacity management
  • Outside ticket window for all day ticket purchases
  • Outside guest services window for Punch Pass, Corporate Passes and Season Passes
  • Mask required at windows when talking with staff
  • Hand sanitizing stations available at both wickets
  • Payment terminals to be wrapped in disposable plastic for frequent sanitization and replaced daily
  • Face coverings to be worn by all employees working in the space
  • While in a lesson, instructors and students (age 5+) are required to wear a face mask when it is not possible to keep 2 meters distance (For example, in the lift line up, on the chairlift, etc)
  • Face masks are not required in lessons while actively skiing/riding
  • Proof of vaccination is required for students, age 12 and older, when participating in public Group Lessons or Holiday Camps.
  • Proof of vaccination is not required for students in Private Lessons
  • Proof of vaccination is not required for students in school group lessons. Group lessons will consist of only students from the same school class to ensure they stay within their “bubble”
  • If you have to miss a lesson because of COVID-19 symptoms, we will reschedule the lesson with no extra fee. 

Kitchen/Cafeteria

  • Masks required inside the ski chalet
  • Proof of Vaccination required for ski chalet entry
  • Max 6 people per table
  • Plexiglass installed to service window
  • Hand sanitizing stations available at beginning and end of lunch line up
  • Payment terminals to be wrapped in disposable plastic for frequent sanitization and replaced daily
  • Face coverings to be worn by employees at all times when working in the space
  • Frequent cleaning of high contact surfaces

Lounge

  • Masks required inside the ski chalet
  • Proof of Vaccination required for ski chalet entry
  • Staff will wear face coverings during service.
  • Hand sanitizing stations available at entry point and on the service station to use before ordering/ while in line
  • Payment terminals to be wrapped in disposable plastic for frequent sanitization and replaced daily
  • Plexiglass installed to service counter
  • Masks required inside the ski chalet
  • Proof of Vaccination required for access to rental shop
  • We can assist from outdoors for clients requesting gear rentals
  • Hand sanitizing station for public
  • Rental shop capacity limited to 25
  • Any third party operators (Equinox Adventures, Ruby Range) to provide COVID 19 operational plan that has be submitted, reviewed and approved by YG COVID 19 task force
  • Signage in all public spaces reminding of safe six
  • Social media and website posts informing public of new operating procedures
  • Radio interviews highlighting new operating procedures and reminders on weekly ski report
  • Guest Services staff to assist outdoors with customer questions and directions
