School Groups

We are excited to welcome students and teachers to the mountain for some fun on the slopes.

Helmets are mandatory to participate in all Snow School programs.

Mount Sima, with the Department of Education, is proud to offer all Yukon school children the opportunity to ski and snowboard in a safe and enjoyable environment.  The program provides subsidized rates for student lift tickets, lessons and rentals to school groups across the Yukon.

Mount Sima is open for school visits every Thursday and Friday from December to March (excluding Christmas and Spring Break Holidays).

Yes, Schools on Snow is subsidized by the Department of Education, and a funding requirement is that youth come through this program.

We have limited instructor availability on Thursdays and Fridays. We will do our best to accommodate as many students as possible while staying within our safety ratios. The best way to get in is to give us advanced notice with a completed registration form.

We understand that not everyone is able to make it on Thursdays or Fridays. If you are a school who would like to access the hill outside of regular school hours, please contact us to make special arrangements.

To ensure we are keeping you (and us) safe, face coverings will be mandatory for instructors and students while in a lesson. Please refer to our COVID-19 page for more details on our new normal.
